Page

It is possible, if a blog with good basic settings is easier to compete on Google quickly.  Well, some of the information that I provide below is actually quite common and can be found on the internet, it's just that not all of the information on the internet is completely complete, making it very difficult for readers to understand.  With this basic setting, I hope that those of you who jump into the world of blogging and use the Blogspot platform, can completely understand what the basic settings look like for Blogspot itself.  Please see the information below.

Basic Blogger Blogspot Dashboard Settings for Beginners

Some of the steps I will give depend on the initial settings when you register on Blogspot, please understand the tips below.

Settings on your blog title and blog description

The first step that you have to fix here after creating a blog is the settings on the blog name and description of your blog which can be accessed by going to the Blogger menu then giving changes there, the purpose of setting the blog name and description title will later function as the identity of your new blog. created, so that it is easily recognized by Google and readers in search engines. In addition, determining the blog title is also an SEO strategy that you need to explore well.  Let's discuss it below.

The first step, please enter the blog dashboard using your Gmail account.

Then, hover the cursor at the bottom and select the settings menu with the gear logo - Select the basic settings - there is a title and description column - Make sure you change it according to your needs.

Example: Blog name "indiancreator.in" then a description can be made "Best Wholesale Online Clothing Shop" or other descriptions that contain key words.

After that, don't forget to Save or save.  At this point, you have finished setting the blog title and description properly.

Comments and posting settings that you need to improve

For those of you Blogspot users, by default, the settings for comments and posts are automatically the right choice.  It's just that there are some that you need to change here, namely comment moderation. If you want everyone to comment, then set it to everyone, otherwise you can provide other options.

Then for comment moderation this has a function to filter out some comments that are negative or contain sane elements, so you can do moderation to show decent comments to readers.

Language and time zone settings on Blogspot

The next basic step you have to do here is setting up the language of your Blogspot, if you want to use Indonesian then select the language menu and then search for Indonesian, while for the timezone format it is usually automatic from Blogspot, you select it and change it to the timezone according to  your area. Examples of time zones for Jakarta, Sumatra, and others.  Just adjust it to the time zone in your area.

At this point, you have finished setting up the language and timezone format. Next, you can immediately set it in the Format Timestamp section, but usually it will automatically follow the timezone that you have set above.

Search preferences settings, this is important so that the blog can be indexed in search engines

For this setting, I hope you do it carefully, because if the settings are wrong the consequences can be fatal, the worst case scenario is that your blog will enter the sandbox or not be indexed by search engines.  We start from setting the description meta tag - Fill in the description of your blog to present what information.  For example, if you were selling t-shirts or clothes, the contents would be like this "indiancreator.in - serves the sale and purchase of standard wholesale t-shirts with cool materials.  Ready to send to all over India".  In essence, in this section you must have keywords that can be indexed in search engines, just adjust them to your needs.

Next we go to the Robot.Txt section, now in this section you just leave it alone and don't need to mess around because it has automatic settings from Google.  Don't let you set the Txt robot wrong, because this is a crawler tool from Google, the wrong setting can mess up later. Then at the very bottom, you will see the monetation menu, this works if your blog is linked to Google Adsense, if you can't ignore it first.

You must see the “Other” setting

In this settings section, the menu and contents are quite complete, starting from the delete blog menu if you really want to end the blog that you created and several other settings.  First, the delete blog menu serves to temporarily and permanently delete the blog that you have created.  Then you will see again the site feed menu, this is the feed that readers and Google can crawl towards your blog page, usually on the posting page.

Furthermore, there is a menu for adult content specifically, in general, Google can still tolerate every reader or visitor to access adult sites, so if you create a site with an adult category, you can activate it in this menu. Unfortunately, if your blog contains an adult category, you cannot follow the advertising program from Google Adsense. However, you can still participate in other advertising programs.  Interesting right?  Furthermore, the bottom menu after the adult content is the Google Analytics menu, which must be filled in with the Google Analytics code that you get when you submit your blog to the webmaster and Google Analytics.  Later we will discuss in the next article.

Layout and theme settings

The last stage, if you have done all the basic settings well, then you can enter the layout and theme settings. In this section you can make changes to the appearance of your blog site.

The layout will set the blog's sidebar as neatly as possible so that it is easy for readers to access, while this theme menu contains html and a collection of standard Blogspot themes that you can try.

So, those are some of the basic settings you need to know about basic Blogspot settings for bloggers. That is all and thank you.
